Project Description

HERON Engineering participates in the project of Green Sustainable Societies, GSS. The object of the project is the research and the design of appropriate operational plans that will lead to the practical implementation of the project and tangible development and piloting of products/services by the participating companies, to support zero-energy infrastructure consumption.

HERON Engineering participates in WP3: Energy Management: Collaborative activities are being developed for infrastructure with uninterruptible energy supply systems. They support hydrogen storage technologies for renewable electricity storage, where hydrogen through fuel cells will be used for electricity generation, and its use when needed. At the same time, several building typologies are being considered for the development of suitable applications for hydrogen storage technologies.

The project is implemented within the framework of the Action “Innovation Clusters” and is co-financed by the European Union and national funds through the OP. Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation (EPANEK) (project code: ΓΓ1CL-0055876).

Result of the project is the creation of a ZERO Energy Cluster, which Heron is a member of. The objective of the Cluster is to exploit the potential synergies to create combined products, services and applications that can be installed in infrastructures that are transformed into near-zero energy infrastructures (buildings, facilities, etc.) in full compliance with European and national energy policies.
